Terras boss Mark Molesley was 'pleased' with the lesson's learnt after a 2-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth's under 21 side on Saturday.

A second half header from Francis Amartey was not enough to stop a young cherries side claiming victory, but Molesley found 'plenty of positives' from his side's performance.

Jonny Stuttle scored a goal in each half, which the Terras boss admits were 'defensive errors,' but overall he was pleased with the team's performance.

Speaking to Echosport, he said: "It's always disappointing to lose but I am pleased with the lessons we have learnt about ourselves today..

"We got more minutes in the legs of the players and we were on an almost even keel.

"We did have a few players in different positions and we had to make some substitutions  which were not planned.

"Bournemouth tested us, that's what we wanted. We want to find our weaknesses and we did find areas we can improve on.

"We found plenty of positives as well but we are grateful for the lessons learned and we will be stronger going forward."

The Terras boss was also pleased with the form of new signing Amartey who has found the net on four occasions since joining from Scottish side Ayr United.

"It is always good good and it is what pre-season is about, building confidence, we want the forwards to score goals and the defenders to defend well and that's what Franny is building, but it is about the collective.

"We had some positive moments and some moments where where we need to work on some stuff.

"I don't want it to be easy in pre-season though, and we want some bumps in the road and we got that out of this game."
