Weymouth 1
AFC Bournemouth under-21s 2
Weymouth tasted defeat for the first time since pre-season began as AFC Bournemouth's under-21s visited the Bob Lucas.
Cherries' Jonny Stuttle scored either side of Francis Amartey's second half header to give Mark Molesley's side their first defeat in five games.
The Terras were quick out of the blocks though, with Amartey looking lively early on.
With just five minutes on the clock, the striker linked up with Euan Pollock who released his team mate into space, however, the forward was closed down and saw his shot blocked.
Minutes later Pollock was again involved in the action after the Terras won the ball high up the pitch, but was unable to find Ezio Touray.
With almost a quarter of an hour played, Terras keeper Gerard Benfield denied Karlos Gregory's effort after being teed up by Stuttle
Cherries' Ashley Clarke then failed to find the target after connecting with a cross on 24 minutes, but the visitors would take the lead moments later.
Some nice build up play down the left resulted in an emphatic finish from Stuttle to make it 1-0 with almost half-an-hour played.
Benfield was called into action again as the half time whistle approached, this time with a superb stop from Stuttle.
Moments later Cherries' Terrell pulled off an impressive save of his own to deny Malachi Linton from close range, meaning Molesley's side went into the break behind.
The Terras boss used the break to make a couple of changes with Jordan Thompson and Brooklyn Genesini coming off for Charlie Rowan and Ben Greenwood.
Another change was made in the 52nd minute as Molesley looked to get back in the game replacing Robinson with Josh McQuoid.
A slow start to the second half meant there were no real chances until Linton tried his luck from outside the box - missing the target.
But then moments later, with an hour played, Amartey added to his pre-season tally to level the scores.
The striker's header ricocheting off a Cherries defender on the line and into the back of the net.
With score at 1-1, Molesley's side pushed on in search of a second, pressing high up the pitch, and successfully winning the ball back.
From the turnover, Touray looked to feed Pollock, but Terrell stood firm to deny the forward's effort.
It was Bournemouth though who would re-take the lead in the 71st minute.
A defensive error gifted Stuttle an opportunity to double his tally for the day and he took full advantage, drilling the ball past Benfield into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.
Molesley made a series of late changes as the game entered the final 10 minutes but the Terras could not find a late equaliser before the final whistle.
Next up for the Terras is the visit of Dorchester Town on Saturday, August 3.
