WEYMOUTH return to pre-season friendly action after an eight-day break with a meeting at Sholing this evening (7.45pm).
Mark Molesley’s men comfortably saw off Step 5 opposition in Hamworthy Recreation last week but face a tougher challenge today.
Sholing compete in the division beneath Weymouth and have made a number of impressive additions behind the scenes this summer, including Matt le Tissier and Levi Colwill.
On the pitch, led by former Havant boss Paul Doswell, they have also secured several eye-catching signings.

And Molesley is eager for the Terras to continue their good work from the Rec friendly.
He told Echosport: “It’s just continuing the hard work, it’s very much fitness-based at the moment.
“You’re trying to get as much of your football work done as well as getting fit.
“Hopefully a little bit more refinement and tactical but at the same time we’re going to be far from the finished article.
“It’s just about trying to improve each time we play and train. That’s all I’m looking for, the attitude of the lads, their reactions and willingness to work hard.
“There were lots of positive signs but now it’s up to us to build on them.
“We’re not going to be anywhere near polished. We’re certainly not trying to hide anything.
“When it’s a bit rough round the edges, that’s a good thing as well because it gives us chances to improve.
“We want to be challenged, find out any chink in our armoury and work hard on the training field to fix that.”
On Sholing, Molesley added: “They’ve got an experienced management team and they really are looking to build the club quickly on and also off the pitch with the star names getting involved.
“It’s an exciting time for the club. They’ll definitely give us a really good challenge and that’s the idea.
“You want to play a good team who are going to push us, pose questions and give us problems to solve.”
Weymouth also have a clean bill of health, with Molesley adding: “The lads are coming through relatively unscathed, which is good.
“We’re just looking to build on their fitness now and the relationships on the pitch.”
Weymouth have been assessing a handful of trialists in the past week.
However, Molesley was typically guarded when quizzed over the potential of cementing any potential new recruits.
He said: “No, we’re very much enjoying working with what we’ve got.
“From the other game, there’s a few trialists. We’ve got the 23s. Things are competitive at the moment, which is great, and we’re looking to see a bit more.”
Following the Sholing game, Weymouth’s next match comes at Wimborne Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
