DORCHESTER Town skipper Jordan Ngalo has committed to the Magpies for the 2024/25 campaign.

Former Aldershot, AFC Totton and Weymouth star Ngalo is highly regarded at Step 3 level and is seen as one of the best central midfielders in the Southern League Premier South.

He has so far made 81 appearances for Dorchester, scoring four times including a blockbuster strike during the Magpies’ 2-1 win at Sholing last season.

Speaking to Echosport, boss Tom Killick spoke of his delight at securing Ngalo for next season.

He said: “Jordan was playing some of the best football of his career in that last period of the season.

“Him and Corby (Moore) in that engine room area of the pitch I just felt were exceptional.

“He’s got a belief in terms of the future looking bright for us, so for him to stay is huge.”

After Ngalo committed for a third season, Killick told the Magpies’ official website: "For Jordan to commit to us for another season is a massive boost.

"He is such a big player for us and his performances particularly in the second half of the season were inspirational. He is also a lovely lad to be around and a pleasure to manage.

"He had other offers, including offers from clubs in higher leagues, so for him to stay with us shows his loyalty and also his belief in what we are trying to build here."

Ngalo is Dorchester’s eighth deal of the summer, joining Will Spetch, Corby Moore, Jack Dickson, Olaf Koszela, Drew Eccott-Young, Luke Pardoe and Luke Roberts in agreeing terms.

Dorchester remain interested in Marcus Daws and Ollie Haste, while Jonny Efedje and Lewis Waterfield have departed the Avenue.
