DORSET & Wilts are one victory away from Twickenham after being confirmed in the Bill Beaumont Division Three semi-finals.
Dorset & Wilts beat Berkshire 39-28 at Wareham but lost 68-43 to Devon at Ivybridge.
It meant the Twin Counties faced an anxious wait after finishing as runners-up in their group and qualify as the best of the second-placed teams.
To reach Twickenham, North Midlands stand in their way on Saturday (3pm), with the match taking place at Droitwich RFC.
