WIMBORNE TOWN RES 9
BALTI Sports suffered their biggest loss of the season as a ruthless Wimborne Town Reserves side thrashed them 9-0 at home in the Dorset Premier League.
Marco Nott’s side were down to the bare bones with only 12 players to choose from, a number of whom were returning to the club after lengthy spells away.
It also brought an abrupt end to their four-game winning streak in which Balti had defeated previously unbeaten Blandford plus Sturminster Marshall, Swanage and Sherborne Reserves.

Ricky Lane was among the veterans, while Nott himself donned the gloves with emergency keeper Oscar Preece out.
Wimborne stormed into a 5-0 lead by half-time as Balti had no answer to the visitors’ finishing power and clinical movement.
Wimborne showed no mercy in the second half as the Magpies continue to seek promotion into Step 6 for the 2024/25 season.
Addwell Chipangura scored a quadruple, while Heath Thornton added a brace alongside strikes for Max Patmore, Cam McMonagle and Toby Dinnivan.
Balti, who have two fixtures remaining, tackle Poole Borough away on Saturday before finishing their season on Saturday, May 18 at Holt United.
Balti: M Nott, Chambers, Govier, Hansford, Harvey, Hawker, Lane, Nichols, Stavrianos, Stone, Drummond.
