DORCHESTER Town can achieve their best finish for 21 years by claiming seventh in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South tomorrow (3pm).
The Magpies have risen from 20th to ninth in three months and were on the brink of the play-offs following an outstanding 12-game unbeaten run.
However, Saturday's 3-1 defeat by Basingstoke put paid to their play-off hopes.
Second prize would be to beat the eighth place achieved twice since Dorchester won the Southern League Eastern Division title in 2002/03.

They would need to beat second-placed AFC Totton at the Avenue Stadium tomorrow and hope both Walton & Hersham and Hungerford draw at best.
But manager Tom Killick is focused solely on Dorchester’s performance as the Magpies sign off on a superb campaign.
He told Echosport: “We were a bit disappointed with how we played last Saturday. We feel we let a game get away from us that we probably shouldn’t have done.
“We’ve only got one opportunity to put it right. We want to try and finish on a high. We’re aware there’s been a really good atmosphere around the ground in recent weeks and we hope that’s going to be the case (tomorrow).
“If we can give everyone something to be positive about and carry on the good feeling, that would be great, but you literally couldn’t have tougher opponents.
“The way Totton have been playing, the results, the squad they’ve assembled, it’s accepted that they’re just one of the most, if not the most, powerful sides in the league.”
On potentially achieving Dorchester’s best finish since 2003, Killick added: “That would be good if we did end up in seventh, that’s fairly remarkable when you look at where we were.
“That’s not massively in the front of my mind but it would be a good achievement.
“I’m more looking at the players and seeing what we can produce after a little setback, against a powerful side, and try and finish on a high.”
Jack Dickson returns from suspension but Will Spetch misses out.
