SWANAGE TOWN & HERSTON 0
DORCHESTER SPORTS 2
DORCHESTER Sports won 2-0 at Days Park as Swanage Town & Herston ended their feisty Dorset Premier League match with eight men.
The majority of the action occurred in the second half as the Swans lost their discipline, picking up two red cards and a sin-bin, while Sports claimed two late goals and the three points.
Sam Peacock went closest for the Swans in the first half, firing wide of Sam Duncalf’s goal and later hitting the post.
Duncalf also had to repel Cody Moore and Cohen Lee efforts, although Sports threatened when Dan Sheehy was denied by ex-Sports goalkeeper Kadin Jacques, while Alex Godfrey blasted wide.

Swans dominated after the break as Sports cleared three point-blank shots off the line, Duncalf, Owen Peart and Callum Streamer coming to the rescue.
However, the introduction of forward Lyes Selama, for Joel Hewitt, changed the game in Sports’ favour.
The striker caused innumerable problems for the Swans, first providing the assist for the opening goal on 73 minutes as Alex Godfrey finished well from Selama’s lay-off.
Selama then caused mischief for Jacques, running through one-on-one and drawing a foul which led to the keeper’s red card.
Jack Hughes donned the gloves and saved Peart’s free-kick but Sports sniffed blood and released Selama through on goal again, only to be taken out by Charlie Brassington for a penalty in the 87th minute.
Brassington was sin-binned for dissent and Peart kept his composure to make it 2-0 from the spot.
And the red mist fully descended on Swans as Streams was shown a straight red for a nasty lunge on centre-back Streamer, putting the hosts down to eight men.
Sports’ boss Ashley James said: “A brilliant performance and great character shown by the team. There’s no better way of winning a game than digging deep for 70 minutes and getting two goals at the end.
“It rounds off a perfect away performance and one we’re very happy about.
“It’s always a difficult place to go, especially in midweek. At some stages, Swanage were on top so to come away with three points is a brilliant feeling.”
Sports now turn their attention to tomorrow's west Dorset derby against Bridport Reserves (3pm), who could field former Sports players Ash Smith, Paul Hill and Gareth Will.
James added: “You look at their team and I don’t think they should be where they are in the league. They’ve signed a couple of our old players on and they’re going to want to beat us.
“There’s quite a few ex-players playing against each other, so even more of a derby. We want to win, it gives us a chance to finish sixth. We don’t want to finish any lower, so it’s in our hands now.”
