DORCHESTER Town have completed the loan signing of AFC Bournemouth centre-back Harry Redknapp Jr until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Redknapp Jr is the grandson of iconic manager and former Magpies player Harry, and the son of Mark Redknapp who also featured for Dorchester on the pitch.
Poole-born Redknapp Jr has been training with the Magpies this week and scored the crucial third goal in Dorchester Under-23s’ 3-2 win over Poole Town yesterday evening.
Dorchester have completed the deal with the player registration window set to close tonight.
Speaking to Echosport, Dorchester boss Tom Killick said: “He’s been training with us and we feel he’s someone, given the opportunity, that we’d like to have a look at between now and the end of the season.

“He looks like he’s got some really good quality. He’s signed a registration form, so that bolsters us a little bit.”
Elaborating on the deal, Killick told the Magpies’ media team: "Harry is a young player who we think has great potential and an exceptional attitude.
“We have a lot of games in the next month so hopefully he will get a chance to show what he is capable of."
Redknapp Jr could make his Magpies debut on Saturday at Winchester City (3pm).
