PORTLAND United were forced to settle for a point as they drew 0-0 at home against Petersfield Town.
The result hampers the Blues’ push for a top-five finish in the Wessex Premier Division.
There were 15 points separating the two sides in the standings as the mid-table Rams headed to the Camp & Satherley Stadium.
The Hampshire outfit had lost their past two matches, while Portland recently arrested their slump with back-to-back victories.
But there was nothing to separate the two sides, despite Portland mixing things up to try and find a breakthrough.
The hosts were probing, while Petersfield looked dangerous on the break.
The result sees Portland slip to seventh, five points behind fifth-placed Brockenhurst.
Kyle Critchell’s men head to Blackfield & Langley’s Gang Warily on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
Blues: Bruton, Wickham, Clarke, Cleaver, Gadsby, Callow, Bent, Williams, Shepherd, Coombes, Morris.
Subs: Symes, Stuttle, Doyle, Delves, Camp.
