DORCHESTER SPORTS 3
SWANAGE TOWN & HERSTON 0
DORCHESTER Sports secured a much-needed 3-0 victory over Swanage Town & Herston in the Dorset Premier League.
Ashley James’ men were twice comfortably beaten by Sturminster Newton United in February, conceding six goals and scoring none, while barely creating a chance.
But that all changed after just two minutes of this encounter as Owen Peart curled a shot beyond Swans’ keeper Taylor Hibbs.
Alex Godfrey fired wide from close-range for Sports before Dan Reeks and Jack Hughes failed to seriously test home goalkeeper Nick Hutchings in reply.

However, the hosts made it 2-0 thanks to a composed solo finish from Peart.
In the second half, Sports threatened to add to their tally and were denied a third when Cohen Lee headed off the line.
Hutchings was then called upon to tip away a fierce Charlie Brassington effort, while Lee looked destined to score after weaving through the home defence only to find Hutchings in his way.
Sports left it until the 90th minute to lock up the three points as Godfrey collected a through ball before slotting past Hibbs.
Sports travel to arch-rivals Balti Sports on Saturday.
