BRIDPORT boss Chris Herbst has pledged to attack Bishops Lydeard ahead of a rare trip to Somerset this evening (7.30pm).
The two sides are the only clubs out of 17 sides in the South West Peninsula League Premier East who do not reside in Devon.
However, their fortunes have differed greatly with Bridport currently in third place and Lydeard in 16th.
But Bridport have not played a league game for more than a month, when Torridgeside claimed a 1-0 victory.
Herbst said: “The postponements are frustrating, I’m praying this game is on because we’ve got some big games coming up.

“I’ve touched on it with match fitness and we need to get some games going, but you can’t help the weather.
“If we don’t play this week I’ll have to think about hiring a 3G for a friendly because we need to get minutes into players.
“I feel like this is a game where we just have to go at them, we need three points. Hopefully, we can kick on and get a winning run going.
“With the squad we’ve got, we’ve got to be targeting three points.”
Riley Weedon and Will Gape are fit after overcoming minor niggles, as is skipper Luke King.
