RUNNERS return to the scenic Weymouth Bay 10k event this weekend.
Hundreds of competitors are expected to turn out for the popular race on Sunday (10am), which covers 122 metres plus two laps of Bowleaze Green before stretching out to Weymouth Pavilion Car Park and doubling back to the finish at Overcombe Corner.
Last year, there was a home victory as Jonathan Cooper of Egdon Heath Harriers won in a time of 34 minutes and 53 seconds.
And 17-year-old Daisy Baker set a new ladies course record of 38 minutes and 16 seconds as more than 350 runners took part.
