WEYMOUTH have signed Eastleigh centre-back Corey Panter on a one-month loan.
Panter, 23, has seen game time limited to just seven National League appearances for the Spitfires this season.
He joined Eastleigh in 2022 from now Premier League side Luton Town, having already enjoyed spells at Kidderminster and Dundee.
Panter has made 34 appearances for the Spitfires in total but fits the bill Weymouth have been looking for with an experienced centre-half.
The Terras have added young loanees Harry Jones and Nazir Bakrin to their ranks in recent weeks as cover in central defence.

However, Panter is viewed as a ready-made replacement for Joe Cook, who returned to Dorking having hugely impressed in his two-month stay with the Terras.
Speaking to Echosport, Weymouth boss Bobby Wilkinson said: “He’s exactly what I needed.
“I lost Joe and I wasn’t going to give up until I got someone of his calibre who’s played in the National League.
“I thank Eastleigh and him for coming to play for me. Lucky enough, it just shows everyone that we’re not standing still and we’re bringing quality into the club.
“I’m not saying the two young lads aren’t that quality, but they haven’t got his experience. I have been round-the-clock working hard to get a bit of experience like Joe.
“It’s for one-month to get us through this really tricky period.”
On Panter’s attributes, Wilkinson added: “He’s a leader, he can play and he’s overall a fantastic player.
“I’ve watched him many times over the years. To get that calibre just shows how far we’ve come. I’m absolutely buzzing to get that over the line.”
Panter could make his debut in the Terras’ home league game with Worthing on Saturday (3pm).
