WEYMOUTH have confirmed they will be without the versatile Charlie Rowan for two matches after he picked up a 10th booking of the season on Saturday.

Rowan was cautioned in the 1-0 loss at Chelmsford, meaning Weymouth will be without another option in central defence and midfield for the games against Worthing and Hampton & Richmond.

His absence will be softened slightly by the arrival of loanee Nazir Bakrin and the return from his own two-game suspension of Teddy Howe.

Rowan has featured predominantly in midfield in recent weeks but started the season at centre-back.

The ex-Oxford City defender has scored once in 26 games for the Terras in 2023/24.

Speaking to Echosport, Terras’ boss Bobby Wilkinson said: “Teddy Howe’s back but we’ve lost Charlie now for two games. He’s suspended, so one comes back and one goes.

“Charlie’s been an unbelievable player since Christmas and that’s another massive loss. We’ve got to rebuild on that.”

Weymouth next take on Worthing at home on Saturday (3pm).
