TERRAS saviour Ezio Touray is hungrier than ever for goals after his equaliser handed Weymouth a 3-3 draw against Weston-super-Mare on New Year’s Day.
Touray, Weymouth’s top scorer this season, has been restricted to the bench in recent weeks after the loan arrivals of National League strikers Harry Parsons and Alfie Rutherford.
Prior to the Weston draw, Touray had made three substitute appearances in four games.
And, when given his chance in the 77th minute in Weymouth's first game of 2024, he needed only a minute to make a telling impression, setting up Brandon Goodship for the hosts’ second goal.

Touray then notched his ninth goal of the 2023/24 campaign to rescue a point for the Terras, who twice trailed by two goals.
Speaking to Echosport following his exploits, the former Watford man said: “Nine goals but it started off with five in three.
“I went downhill a little bit but I’m happy with nine goals and how I’m playing now. My goal is to get at least another five over the next few games.”
And the ex-Basingstoke marksman believes his performance will not guarantee him a return to the starting XI in Weymouth’s next game at Tonbridge on Saturday (3pm).
Touray said: “I’ve got to train harder. It’s done now and I scored, now I’ve got to go to training and train hard.”
Talking through his contributions to the 3-3 draw, Touray told uptheterras.co.uk: “I’m so pleased, I felt good. I came on, changed the game.
“I had a feeling the boys on the bench were ready to change the game.
“The fans backed me a lot, when I came on they started cheering and chanting for me, it boosts my confidence. When I’ve got confidence I’m a better player.”
Touching on the competition for places up front, Touray admitted he has a lot to learn but is enjoying scrapping for his match minutes.
“It is working,” Touray said of Weymouth’s increased attacking options.
“Me, myself I know I need to get better every time. There’s a lot of stuff I need to improve on. I’m only 20 and I’ve got a lot to learn.
“Obviously having players like Alfie and Harry make me want to push a little bit more because they’ve been starting ahead of me, and I want to be starting.”
