LOUIE Slough has left Dorchester Town to secure a move up to the Vanarama National League South.
Former Torquay United youth product Slough has agreed a deal with Taunton Town, nearer to his home.
The centre-back has struggled for game time this season after initially joining the Magpies on loan from Torquay in 2020.
He leaves the Avenue Stadium having made 64 appearances in black and white.
Explaining Slough’s exit, Dorchester boss Tom Killick said: “Louie has had an opportunity to join a (National League) South team based nearer to his home and unsurprisingly has decided to take it.

“He is a good player and character, and I am sorry to see him go, but thank him for all his efforts for us and wish him good luck at his new club."
Dorchester added: “We would like to thank Louie for his services over the past three years and would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”
