CHRISTCHURCH at home presents Portland United with a “fantastic opportunity” for three points tomorrow (3pm), manager Kyle Critchell admits.
Portland are in ninth, some seven places and 12 points ahead of the east Dorset side in the Velocity Wessex League Premier Division table.
However, the Blues have not won in three games since rising to sixth place earlier in the season.
Ahead of hosting the Priory, who with minus 42 have the second-worst goal difference in the division behind bottom side Lymington (minus 66), Critchell told Echosport: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to win.
“I think teams are now starting to understand that we’re a different animal, so they’re setting up differently.

“That’s why we have to do a little bit more work with our tactical flexibility and the way we attack teams.
“It’s going to be an interesting game but a game we want to be on the front foot for. We need to get back to winning ways.”
Portland will have to meet Christchurch without top-scorer Greg Borthwick, who will be out for up to four weeks with a groin injury and may even require surgery.
“He’s just been playing through the pain barrier,” Critchell said.
New striker Connor Bent could make his debut after signing on dual terms for a month from Weymouth Under-23s.
