CORBY Moore admits his move to Dorchester Town has been a “great change”.
Moore, 30, joined the Magpies in September from Dorset rivals Poole Town, where he chalked up a hugely respected 260 appearances, 16 goals and 25 assists.
He spent seven full seasons with the Dolphins between 2016 and 2023, also enjoying an initial one-month loan spell from then National League side Forest Green Rovers in 2015.
The Southampton academy product also has experience at National League South level with Bishop’s Stortford, Chelmsford and Poole.

But the central midfielder, who in 2014 played for Indy Eleven in the now defunct North American Soccer League, is relishing his new existence at the Avenue Stadium.
“It’s been a great change,” he told Echosport.
“The lads have been brilliant and it’s a nice, good, young side and I think we’ve got a lot of potential.
“You can see in our performances since we’ve come, in the last few weeks we’ve improved massively and we’ll be a good force going forward. We’re nearly there.”
Moore came to the Avenue with fellow ex-Poole duo Jack Dickson and Will Spetch, a factor he believes has helped him settle quickly at Dorchester.
He said: “Obviously, we’ve known each other for years. Spetchy was there for 16 years, I was eight and Jack was 10 so I’ve known them for a long time.
“It’s definitely helped me to settle in, we’ve got amongst the lads and they’re a good bunch so it’s been good to get to know them all.”
The trio left Poole one week after Tom Killick, now Dorchester boss, was sacked by Poole after 19 years at the helm.
And Moore revealed how Killick’s predecessor Glenn Howes was instrumental in his move to Dorchester.
“Obviously, everything that happened with Tommy I don’t want to get into that sort of thing,” he said.
“But, I just spoke to Howesy on the phone and it sounded really promising, I just really wanted to play for him.
“It seemed a good idea at the time and I spoke to a couple of the lads, Spetchy and JD. I thought it would be a great move to come here and try and build a new team.
“They’re great players, maybe with a few older heads now! Me, Spetchy and JD are the oldest three now.”
On the pitch, Dorchester are widely observed in recent weeks to have fallen short of results their performances have deserved, the latest case being a 2-1 loss to Walton & Hersham on Saturday.
“It is frustrating but we’re nearly there,” he insisted.
“We’re playing some really good stuff, it’s just being clinical and seeing games out, which we did at Swindon. It was a great result, we just need to be a bit more consistent like that.
“There’s nothing wrong with some of our performances. Give it a few weeks, we’ll be in and around it, definitely.”
Moore and Dorchester visit Chesham United on Saturday before a juicy reunion with Poole Town at the Avenue on Boxing Day.
