BRIDPORT could finally return to action at Sherborne Town this evening after a difficult week for the Bees (7.45pm).
The Bees last week suffered two floods at St Mary’s Field and have not played for more than three weeks.
Manager Chris Herbst conceded there will be some “rust” but largely expects his players to be OK for the Dorset Senior Cup quarter-final.
He told Echosport: “It’s good that we’ve got (tonight).

“I asked the question: ‘Could we get it reversed?’ because our pitch was still absolutely soaking so it definitely wasn’t going to be played at ours.
“Ideally, I’ll try and get minutes into everyone then look ahead to Saturday. The lads have been training well and keeping in tip-top condition.
“A lot have been sending me 5ks, that’s what I’ve asked for, at least a couple a month.
“There will be some rust, I’d imagine, but the way we’ve trained, it’s been really good. I’ve not got any worries. I’m chomping at the bit to get games on and so is everyone.”
James Cox is available but Tom Richardson (knee) is still missing.
