WEYMOUTH have confirmed midfielders Josh McQuoid and Max Hemmings will miss the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Hemmings suffered a serious knee injury in the 2-1 loss at St Albans on the opening day, while McQuoid will now begin treatment on a sarcoma spotted in his leg earlier this year.
Speaking to Weymouth’s media team following the 2-0 defeat at Worthing, boss Bobby Wilkinson said: “When I speak about players, I need to mention Josh, he’s out for the rest of the season.

“Max is out for the rest of the season as well. It’s a tough one to take when you’re losing people like Josh and Max, two of my best players.”
He added: “To lose both your centre midfielders for the season, it’s quite frustrating, that one.
“Especially as the manager when you’re trying to build a good squad and team, you don’t want to lose your best players.
“Now we have to get out there and find someone who can fit in and we need to work on a few who haven’t had a lot of game time to get some minutes.”
