FORMER Weymouth defender Chris Francis has sealed a sensational move to Crystal Palace after leaving Bournemouth this summer.
The 20-year-old joined Cherries last year, plucked out from non-league North Leigh United.
Francis, who came through the youth ranks at Swindon Town, never made a competitive appearance for Cherries’ first team, before being released.
He spent part of last season out on loan at Weymouth, playing for the Terras six times in January and February, and featured as a trialist for Charlton Athletic last month.

But Francis has now agreed a deal with Palace, where he will join their development squad.
Discussing the move, Francis said: "I'm buzzing to sign for this great club and I'm really looking forward to this next chapter.
“The hard work continues."
