DORCHESTER Town striker Shaq Gwengwe netted a late penalty to deny lower-league Frome Town a pre-season win at the Avenue Stadium.
One division separated the sides before kick-off but Frome took the lead in the eighth minute when Jon Davies fired the opening goal.
Dorchester spurned numerous chances to equalise before Gwengwe turned up trumps from the spot for the second successive friendly, sparing the Magpies’ blushes.

Glenn Howes’ side could have taken the lead inside the first minute when Jordan Ngalo put Gwengwe through only for the keeper to come out and claim.
Frome then settled and took the lead from their first attack of note, Davies finishing past Lloyd Thomas for 1-0.
Thomas had to be on guard to push clear a second Frome effort before Ngalo tried his luck at the other end, forcing a good save.
Jake Graziano was next on the shooting scene, exchanging passes with Leighton Thomas and firing at goal before seeing appeals for handball in the area turned away seven minutes later.

Chances came and went at both ends, Thomas slipping in the process of shooting, prior to a clever free-kick routine that enabled Alex Moyse to test the Frome keeper.
Dorchester ended the half firmly on top as Gwengwe lashed over and Leighton Thomas produced a fingertip save from the Robins’ custodian.
After the break, Dorchester continued to threaten as sub Olaf Koszela, on for the trialist centre-back, had two shots saved in a minute, one from a free-kick and the other from inside the box.
Howes then rattled through a host of substitutions, bringing on Harvey Bertrand, Lewis Toms, two triallists and young forward Jamie Hosking.
They came on at the expense of Jordi Foot, Lewis Waterfield, Ngalo, Moyse and Leighton Thomas between the hour and 80-minute mark.
With the Magpies rotating their squad to top up match minutes, there were few chances in those 20 minutes but the hosts finished strongly to deprive Frome of victory.
Hosking had a shot well saved on 84 minutes before Gwengwe won the penalty in stoppage-time.
Just as he did at Portland on Tuesday, the striker buried the spot-kick with authority, sending the keeper the wrong way as Dorchester ensured the honours were even.
Magpies: Ll Thomas, Graziano, Sa, Foot (Bertrand 60), Ngalo (Hosking 77), Trialist #6, Moyse (Trialist #18 77), Trialist #8 (Koszela 46), Gwengwe, Waterfield (Toms 60), Le Thomas (Trialist #7 80).
