BOOKMAKERS have priced up Weymouth to consolidate their place in the Vanarama National League South in 2023/24.
Bobby Wilkinson’s men performed a miracle escape from the drop last season, winning their final three games to stay up on goal difference.
Their efforts saw them claim 19th, ahead of Dover and Dulwich despite all three teams finishing on 48 points.
And the bookies have tipped Weymouth at 40/1 to win the league, equivalent to the 18th-biggest price of the 24 teams.

Torquay United (11/2), Yeovil Town (7/1) and Maidstone (10/1), all relegated from the National League last season, are the three teams at the top of the list.
Farnborough (11/1), promotion hopefuls Dartford (12/1), beaten in the play-offs last season, and newly full-time Eastbourne Borough (14/1) come next.
Hampton & Richmond are also 14/1 after a busy summer in the player market, while St Albans are only valued at 16/1 despite reaching the promotion final back in May.
Southern League South champions Weston-super-Mare are 28/1 and equivalent to 15th, with Isthmian League play-off winners Aveley at 66/1 and joint-highest price.
The Millers are one of four teams bookmakers value at 66/1 and effectively ripe for relegation alongside Dover, Taunton and Chippenham.
Separating the quartet from Weymouth at 50/1 are both Slough and Hemel Hempstead, while Truro come in at 40/1 after taking the play-off route behind Weston.
Quizzed on the bookies’ assessment of the Terras’ chances, Wilkinson said: “Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, I just keep myself to myself and do my own business quietly, the best we can.
“I know people ask a lot of questions and want to know a lot, but I try to do things quietly at this club.
“I quite enjoy their opinions because I like to, touch wood, prove people wrong.”
