FORMER Weymouth loanee Brendan Willson has joined the Terras’ Vanarama National League South counterparts Havant & Waterlooville.
Free agent Willson, 19, was released by National League parent club Eastleigh this summer following the conclusion of his first professional deal.
He spent two spells at Weymouth, making 22 appearances and scoring twice, including during the 2-1 win at Welling.
Willson played a key role in Weymouth’s survival mission last season, forming a solid partnership with Nathan Carlyle at centre-back.

Speaking to Havant’s media team upon joining, Willson said: “I’m buzzing to be here, excited to get the deal over the line and to start to get the ball rolling.”
Willson later reacted to the announcement of his deal on Twitter, adding: "Buzzing to sign and get going. Looking forward to a fresh start and a big season ahead!"
Willson came on to Eastleigh’s radar while at Wimborne Reserves and then joined the Spitfires to enrol in their development squad.
He late became the first Eastleigh development player to start in a National League match.
Willson will feature in Havant’s pre-season schedule next month.
