UPWEY & Broadwey have folded and will not play in the Dorset Senior League for the 2023/24 season.
Last season, Upwey scored 21 points and finished eighth of the 11 teams after taking four victories in their final nine games.
In amongst those wins, they suffered a 7-1 hammering at Beaminster and a 6-3 home loss to near rivals Chickerell.
However, Echosport has learned from numerous sources that the club will cease to exist next season, despite efforts from some insiders to keep it alive.

And the publication of a provisional 13-team Dorset Senior League for 2023/24 does not include Steve Reynolds’ side on the list, or in any of the five lower divisions.
Late last week, league officials are understood to have received an email from Upwey & Broadwey signalling their desire to withdraw from competition with immediate effect.
When approached by Echosport, a senior Upwey source confirmed the development but the club declined to comment on the circumstances behind folding.
