WEYMOUTH manager Bobby Wilkinson admits David Sesay is unlikely to seal a move to the Bob Lucas Stadium for next season.
Sesay, 24, scored twice in 24 games for Weymouth in 2022/23, helping keep the Terras up on the final day with a 2-0 win at Dover Athletic.
However, Sesay was on loan from Wealdstone and is based in London, making it unrealistic to secure a move to Dorset.
Sesay was released by the Stones in May, sparking rumours of a Weymouth switch, but Wilkinson quashed any hope of a potential deal.
“I don’t think Dave will be coming back,” he told Echosport. “We’ve got a brilliant relationship but he lives in London.

“These boys came and helped me out as a big favour. To do it for a whole season, they’ll earn more where they are closer to home.
“When you add it up, travelling-wise, it’s a tall order for them. Would I love to keep Ses? Yes. Will we? No.”
Sesay remains a free agent and posted the following message on social media after leaving Wealdstone.
He said: “Thoroughly enjoyed my last year and half at @WealdstoneFC, couldn’t speak highly enough of the club. Wishing all the boys and management team all the best in future. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.”
