WEYMOUTH have announced midfielders Tyrique Clarke and Scott Rees as their latest summer signings.

Rees stays at the Bob Lucas Stadium having played 19 times for the Terras in the 2022/23 season.

His experience is trusted by boss Bobby Wilkinson, who deployed the former Bracknell man across the defence during an injury crisis.

Rees also counts Hungerford Town, Reading Town and Thatcham among his former clubs.

Ex-Yeovil Under-18s midfielder Clarke, 21, won young player of the year at Wingate and Finchley and was most recently at Step 3 side Kings Langley.

He also has Step 3 experience at Poole, Met Police and Hendon and was also on National League South side Welling's books in 2021.

Speaking to uptheterras.co.uk, Wilkinson said: ”Rees has got experience at the level and has a real passion for the game.

"Rees loves the club and wanted to come back and I could see he was determined. Scott has always worn the badge with pride.”

He added: “Tyrique comes with a lot of energy and has a bright future ahead of him.

“We beat off some fierce competition for his signature and I’m delighted to have him here at Weymouth.”

Rees and Clarke are Weymouth's 13th and 14th summer signings after Chris McQueen, Anthony Cheshire, Brandon Goodship, Calvin Brooks, Teddy Howe, Gerard Benfield, Joel Rollinson, Keelan O'Connell, Harvey Slade, Frankie Monk, skipper Tom Bearwish and midfielder Max Hemmings.
