PORTLAND United are targeting a “variety” of new signings for the 2023/24 season but will mostly seek “young” players, according to boss Kyle Critchell.
Portland claimed 11th place in the Wessex League Premier Division last season.
It came after Critchell and assistant Jamie Symes built on foundations laid by previous boss Franklyn Clarke and his number two Sam Poole.
And Critchell is now intent on strengthening his squad over the summer to continue Portland’s upward trend.
He told Echosport: “I’m delighted in terms of what we’ve been able to achieve.

"It’s probably gone above the expectations of what Jamie and myself thought we were able to do.
“That’s testament to the whole club, so players, committee, staff and the fans.
“Going into next season we’ve just got to add to the group. We need to add to a variety of skillsets and human beings.
“We’re trying to sign lads that have good values and morals as human beings.
“We’re trying to add the right types of people and we’re going to go young, people that are driven and want to learn.”
