PAST stars from Weymouth and Dorchester Town are set to adorn Ashley Wells’ testimonial at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (7.30pm).
‘Mr Weymouth’, who in 2020 left Weymouth after a stunning ten seasons with the Terras, has been forced to wait nearly three years for the fixture due to the pandemic.
The likes of ex-captain Josh McQuoid, recently diagnosed with cancer in his leg, Jake McCarthy, Ollie Harfield, Jamie Skinner, Chris McPhee, Stewart Yetton, Pat Baldwin and Jason Matthews among others will play for the Terras.
Dorchester’s squad includes Mark Jermyn, Nathan Walker, Keith Emmerson, Ashley Nicholls, Callum Buckley and Jake Smeeton.

Currently with Wimborne after a spell as Dorchester captain, Wells suffered a knee injury late in the 2022/23 season and is likely only to play a handful of minutes.
Wells, who kept 98 clean sheets in 302 appearances for Weymouth, will stalk the touchline with returning ex-boss Mark Molesley, under whom Wells achieved back-to-back promotions to the National League.
And Wells is looking forward to saying a “proper goodbye” to Weymouth fans after the pandemic deprived him of that chance.
He told Echosport: “I knew it was always going to happen because I know the type of club Weymouth are.
“You ask any player that’s been there, the fondness that’s created as a player.
“The main thing for me is to say 'bye' to everyone. I left during Covid and that pushed my testimonial back a few more years.
“That’s one of the things I’m looking forward to, seeing everyone and saying a proper goodbye.”
Weymouth manager Bobby Wilkinson will also be in attendance, Wells revealing his support after sustaining his injury on Wimborne duty.
Wells added: “Bobby and his staff are all going to be there. He’s been absolutely fantastic.
“He was one of the first people to message me, he rang me, he texted me.
“I’ve played against (his teams) but I’ve never met him so it shows you how good of a person he is.
“It will be good to celebrate staying up on the last day with them, because some fans couldn’t have gone to Dover.
“Hopefully they come down, even just to see the management and congratulate them on such a good job.”
Tickets are on sale for £10, while there are limited tickets available for an afterparty with live music in the Weymouth club bar post-match.
