PORTLAND United have announced the permanent exit of goalkeeper Mike Edgar to Wessex League counterparts Christchurch.
Edgar leaves as the Blues’ third-highest appearance maker with 29 this season. Only Josh Williams (31) and Ryan McKechnie (30) have more.
It comes after the islanders signed promising keeper Harrison Bruton on dual terms of neighbours Weymouth earlier today, joining for his second spell at Portland.
Edgar moves to Christchurch following the departure of Harry Dillon to Shaftesbury, covering Bruton’s exit from Cockrams in a triangular goalkeeping move.

Portland boss Kyle Critchell has tinkered with his goalkeeper unit in recent weeks, giving game time to understudy Brad Smith.
And, with plans for next season already being set into motion, Edgar has left the Camp & Satherley Stadium.
Bruton joins the Blues after spending two months with Shaftesbury, also of the Wessex League.
He has featured 15 times for the Rockies since his move from Weymouth, for whom he is yet to make his debut.
Bruton has regularly been seen warming up with Weymouth on matchdays this season, learning from current number one Zaki Oualah and goalkeeping coach Jason Matthews.
Bruton could make his Portland debut at Pagham tomorrow (3pm).
