PORTLAND United are targeting a sixth successive victory when they travel to struggling Pagham in the Wessex League Premier Division tomorrow (3pm).
The Blues are on their best streak since an eight-game winning spree in the 2018/19 season under former boss Brendon King.
In travelling to Pagham, Portland face a side they comfortably beat 4-0 in the reverse fixture in February.
However, with the 19th-placed Lions scrapping for their survival, incumbent Blues’ manager Kyle Critchell expects a far sterner test in Sussex.

He told Echosport: “We’re super excited to try and keep the run going. It’s going to be a difficult game, we’re going to be playing against a side who’ve got all to fight for.
“They’re going to try and stave off relegation, so it’s a positive challenge but hopefully one we can get three points (from).
“We also want to give some of the lads who haven’t had as many minutes some time, we’ll factor that in and make sure we rotate accordingly.”
Critchell added: “We can’t use the game at home as a reflection of what we’re going to encounter.
“They’re going to be tough, it’s going to be a very robust game. We’re going to have to be physical, strong and at the right times we’re going to have to play.”
Greg Borthwick sustained a double break of the arm during the 3-2 win at US Portsmouth and is out for the season.
Critchell said: “We’re still waiting to determine whether he needs surgery.
“The last time he had an X-ray it was looking like he didn’t need surgery, so hopefully that’s the case. We’ll wait and see.
“The timeframe we’re looking for is to hopefully have him back for pre-season, which will be really big and testament to him because he’s made himself a really important player for the club.”
New goalkeeper signing Harrison Bruton could make his debut.
Troy Walbridge (unavailable) and Jamie Symes (hamstring and calf) miss out but Connor Callow could return from illness.
