DORCHESTER Town have been busy in the player market, with striker Harvey Bradbury leaving on loan and forward Lyle Simpson coming in for a month.

Bradbury was snapped up by National League South (NLS) high-fliers Dartford, who lie second in the table, until the season's end.

Bradbury has an agreement with Dorchester for the 2023/24 season and the striker took to Facebook to reassure Magpies fans his move to the Darts is only temporary.

He said: "Been a pleasure this season. Look forward to seeing you all in pre-season."

Bradbury, scorer of four league goals for Dorchester since moving from Gosport, has previous NLS experience with Oxford City, St Albans City and Welling United.

He has also had brief spells in the EFL with Watford, Millwall, Morecambe and Portsmouth after rising through Pompey's youth ranks.

His exit left Dorchester with Shaq Gwengwe, Matty Neale and Alfie Stanley as the only recognised forwards at the Magpies.

Simpson was therefore identified as a suitable replacement, coming in for a month's loan from National League side Eastleigh.

Bradbury's father Lee currently manages the Spitfires, alongside assistant and former Weymouth boss Brian Stock.

Simpson has enjoyed spells on loan at Bashley this season and last, scoring six goals in 12 appearances.

Simpson has struggled with injury this season but did make one appearance for Eastleigh in the National League.

Simpson could make his debut this afternoon at Bracknell (3pm).
