DORCHESTER Town first-team coach Brian Churchill anticipates a “tough test” away to a “flying” Bracknell Town side tomorrow (3pm).

Bracknell have won seven of their past eight Pitching In Southern League Premier South games, rising to fourth in the table and scoring 11 times in their past two matches.

The Robins’ run included a 2-1 win at Dorchester, the Magpies feeling aggrieved in that game after having a goal chalked out for a marginal offside and a credible penalty shout denied.

Assessing the challenge ahead, Churchill told Echosport: “It was a difficult game at home.

“It’s a really tough test for us, they’re absolutely flying and we’re not in the best of form.

“They’re at project three years and we’re at project one year. They’re serial winners.

“The other thing we’ve got to deal with is the pitch up there which, by all accounts, is on the small side.

“Given that their long throws were hitting the middle of our goal last time on a massive pitch at the Avenue, I expect we’ll be defending for our lives at throw-ins.”

Dorchester, meanwhile, slipped to 11th after results went against them in midweek.

The Magpies have lost six of their past eight league matches and could slip out of the bottom half as Plymouth Parkway lie one point adrift with two games in hand.

Churchill added: “We’ve slipped to 11th now so it’s down to us as management staff to put out the best team we can and try and get the best results to hit our target.

“We’re into the last ten games now we’ve got to string some results together and get some points on the board that we haven’t done lately.

“We’ve only one once on grass all season. We’re fairly good at home on our 3G pitch. If we can replicate anything like that on grass we’d be a force to be reckoned with.

“We’ve got to get that out of our heads and just play how we know we can. On our day we’re a really good side.”

Forward Matty Neale returns from a three-game suspension but centre-back Kieran Douglas serves the second of a two-game suspension.
