WEYMOUTH have completed the loan signing of centre-back Archie Procter from Dorking Wanderers.

Blackburn-born Procter, 21, joins the Terras until the end of the season from the National League side.

Procter is under contract with Dorking until the summer.

He has experience at EFL sides AFC Wimbledon and Accrington, leaving the latter in November.

However, he has found game time limited at Wanderers, making just five appearances in non-League's top flight since joining.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson told Weymouth's media team: “Archie is a great centre-half with a great left foot from the National League.

"We are delighted to welcome him on board until the end of the season.”

Weymouth have moved for the defender after Jamie Egan was recalled by Bristol Rovers and AFC Bournemouth centre-half Chris Francis has suffered hamstring strain.

Procter could play for the Terras this evening in their crucial home clash with Chippenham Town (7.45pm).

If he makes his debut, he would become the 46th player to play for Weymouth this season.
