“WE’VE got to deliver” was the resounding message from manager Bobby Wilkinson ahead of the Terras’ pivotal trip to Concord Rangers tomorrow (3pm).

Wilkinson’s rallying cry is a reference to Weymouth’s team meeting this week, at which the Terras discussed the critical run-in of 15 games.

With Weymouth now bottom of the Vanarama National League South, their contest at Concord pits 23rd against 24th.

And with the magnitude of the game ahead, Wilkinson addressed the need to succeed in a motivational interview with Echosport.

“It felt different in the meeting this week,” he said.

“Now it’s time. We’ve got to deliver for Weymouth Football Club, for ourselves, our group.

“We’ve got to prove everyone wrong. We’re capable of staying in this league.

“There’ve been a lot of doubters, rightly so because the league table doesn’t lie, but we’re ready for the challenge and we’re going to take it on.

“Hopefully, we end up being where we want to end up. There’s no-one in my changing room that doesn’t believe we can stay up.”

He added: “Everyone will put the game as a massive, massive game. As a group, we’ve sat down, we’ve had our meeting – it’s just another game.

“What we have to do is turn up and make sure we play well.”

Weymouth have already played Concord in February, losing 2-1 after posting a 1-0 half-time lead.

“We’ve got to learn from that game,” Wilkinson said. “We were absolutely outstanding first half and then we went quite negative second half.

“We’ve got to make sure that we turn up and play well for 90 minutes, then we’ll have a chance.

“Concord will be favourites because they’re at home, but we don’t fear them because we played extremely well against them last time.

“Whatever it takes we’ve got to go there and try and win.”

Weymouth lost 3-1 at Farnborough on Tuesday, midfielder Luke Nippard stretchered off with chest and hamstring injuries.

While the ex-Bournemouth maestro has received the all-clear after coughing up blood, Weymouth fear his hamstring strain could keep him out for around eight weeks.

Wilkinson said: “He’s going for a scan, we personally think it’s six to eight weeks and it could be his season’s over.

“We’ll do everything in our power to get him back for the run-in. It’s not looking too promising at the moment. It’s devastating for the lad and our club.”

Tom Blair (suspension) returns, while Teddy Howe (knee), Ben Thomson (ankle) and Keelan O’Connell (groin) could all return to training next week.
