WEYMOUTH Swimming Club’s young talent sparkled in the Dorset County Age Group Championships.
Some 60 per cent of the 15 Weymouth swimmers personal best times (PB) and 49 finalist positions over the six days of competition.
Twelve-year-old Frank Otton achieved two bronze medals closely followed by Dylan Hanger with a bronze of his own.
Top girls’ medallists included 12-year-old Heather Sayers with a 1,500m freestyle silver medal and 16-year-old Sophie Marsh, who took a bronze medal in the 1,500m free.
Particular praise went to 14-year-old Sam Graham for achieving south west regional qualifying times (SWRQT) in 50m breaststroke and 100m freestyle and Sayers for her well-earnt SWRQT in the 100m butterfly.
