WEYMOUTH manager Bobby Wilkinson is in upbeat mood going into the Terras’ clash with St Albans City, declaring: “We don’t fear anyone”.
The two sides meet at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (3pm) perched in contrasting positions of 23rd and fifth respectively in the Vanarama National League South table.
St Albans claimed a 3-2 win against the Terras before Christmas and Wilkinson is respectful yet unafraid of the challenge posed by the play-off contenders.
He told Echosport: “I’m a big admirer of St Albans, I honestly think they’re one of the best teams in the league.

“We don’t fear anyone on our day. If we go into the game and work, get in their faces, put the ball in the box, play with energy, desire, we can beat anyone.
“We are coming up against one of the best teams in the league, who’ve gone to Worthing and won 5-4, they played very well against us.
“It’s a big challenge but one we thrive on.”
Asked if the pressure was off Weymouth, Wilkinson replied: “Yeah, it’s a hard one to call.
“What is pressure? We put it on ourselves. What we have to do is turn up, play well and win a game of football. It’s 11 against 11.
“League tables don’t lie. They are where they are for a reason and we’re where we are for a reason.
“We’ve just got to turn up this next week, compete and see if we can pick up some more points.”
Wilkinson also revealed Keelan O’Connell (groin) is two weeks away from a return, Ben Thomson (ankle) is around three weeks and Teddy Howe is back in light training.
Ahkeem Rose is fully fit after a hamstring issue, Tom Blair begins a two-match suspension for ten bookings and Yeovil loanee Will Dawes has left the club.
On Rose’s return, Wilkinson said: “I’ve managed him very well since I came in.
“He’s fully fit, we were just monitoring him to make sure. He’s played more football for me than he has done in the last two or three years.
“I want to make sure we’ve got him for the run-in all the way to the end. I know what I’m doing with Rosey and it’s worked.
“I’m pleased he’s back this week ready for selection.”
