DORCHESTER lock horns with Trowbridge Seconds at Surcouf Park in their Counties One Tribute Southern South clash tomorrow (2.30pm).

The visitors sit 11th in the table to Dorchester’s sixth, but coach Josh Ovey knows his side will need to be on their mettle again to claim another home win.

Ovey has had a tough week with selection, having well over 40 players training in sub-zero temperatures all wanting a starting shirt in both teams for the league action this weekend.

As a group this shows the strength and depth in the playing squad for the club, a great position to be in at this stage of the season, showcasing home-grown talent.

Last weekend’s starting pack for the firsts all keep their places after a dominant performance with further strength added on the bench.

Both Archie Dale and Scott Peach come into the line-up on the wings adding to the firepower of the back line.

In the division below, Weymouth & Portland host Wimborne Seconds, while Bridport travel to Puddletown.

Elsewhere, the county town’s A team entertain Salisbury Thirds in their final Counties Three Tribute Dorset & Wilts South league fixture of the season (2.30pm).

With a number of experienced heads in the line-up, Chris Elliott, Scott Clarke, and Laurence Burch all start in the pack with Jamie Morgan, Jez Beale and Max Baggley in the back line.

Jimmy Louch and Murray Brown are just two of the five replacements on the bench ready to add to the forward power.

Being the second weekend of the Six Nations, Dorchester's clubhouse will have all the action on the big screen.
