DORCHESTER Town boss Glenn Howes insists there is “no hiding” from the Magpies’ recent losses and expects a big performance against Hanwell Town tomorrow (3pm).
Howes’ men welcome the Geordies to the Avenue Stadium after defeats to Swindon Supermarine, Tiverton and North Leigh.
Despite the poor form, Dorchester are well placed in seventh in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South table, two points off the play-off spots.
So close are the standings, however, that Hanwell could jump from 12th to leapfrog Dorchester with victory.

Highlighting the gravity of halting the run of defeats, Howes told Echosport: “It’s really important.
“There’s no hiding away from it. That’s three games with defeat on the trot. It’s been something we’ve broken this year.
“There’s no better place to do it than the Avenue. The players can sense it. They felt the need to come in on Thursday and prepare.
“I wish we could flick a switch and it all happens but it’s never that simple. There’s a number of items that we need to work on.
“Out of possession and then we need to get back to our fluid best in terms of creating opportunities.
“The one thing we take great comfort in is that we know our pitch, facilities, supporters and the environment we’ll be performing in. It gives us a great arena to do that.”
Discussing Hanwell, who have three wins in five matches, Howes said: “They were fantastic earlier in the season, I really enjoyed the game.
“We went toe-to-toe with them and they went toe-to-toe with us. I felt they played some wonderful football at times, they’ve got some lovely technicians out on the pitch.
“I’m thoroughly looking forward to playing Hanwell. They’re having a good season in their own right.”
Harvey Bradbury, sent off for a third time this season in Dorchester Under-23s’ 4-3 loss to Bashley on Wednesday, serves the third of a four-game suspension.
Lewis Toms could be involved after missing the long trip to North Leigh on Tuesday.
