WEYMOUTH have secured the loan signing of centre-back Brendan Willson on a month’s loan from Eastleigh.
Willson proved a hit before Christmas when scoring twice in three matches for Weymouth in his initial loan spell.
Although recalled by Eastleigh following the expiry of his deal in December, the Terras have been able to sign the defender for a second stint.
Speaking to Echosport, boss Bobby Wilkinson said: “Brendan came in and did fantastic with two goals.
“He’s good in both boxes, he gives us another threat in the box from set-plays and deliveries. He’ll throw his head at anything that comes in.
“When I found out he was available, straight away it was a phone call and Eastleigh have said yes. I can’t thank them enough.

“It’s only a month’s loan but if he enjoys it and Eastleigh carry on their great form they might allow him to go a bit longer.
“It will be their decision and we’ll look after their player. Weymouth have signed another good footballer, vital for our run-in and if we get a few injuries again.
“We have to make sure we’re preparing for every single month and always be in front.”
