BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott has issued an ultimatum to his squad over persistent availability problems, stressing the need to “recruit desperately”.
Nott was forced to start Saturday’s 4-0 loss at Jewson Dorset Premier League leaders Sturminster Newton with nine men before late call-ups Sean and Rory Zima took to the field.
Balti have a squad of 25 players but Nott is troubled by selection headaches for away games in particular and did not mince his words on the subject.
Ahead of hosting Holt United tomorrow (2pm), he told Echosport: “We’ve got to recruit desperately and get the players that are unreliable to wake up or get out.

“They’re not needed if they’re not going to commit. At least I’d know where I stood. I’ve got about 25 in the WhatsApp group and you get 11, 12 to a game.
“All of a sudden, these players have got work or kids, whatever it is. It’s too easy for people to put the old thumbs down on the group. It’s frustrating.
“It’s hard enough as it is running a team, let alone dealing with the people that don’t really care.”
Matt Chambers (back) and Matt Brisco (cramp) are expected to recover, while Sammy Nichols, Carl McClements, Pete Jarvis and Danny Andrews return.
