STAFF from supermarket chains ASDA and Morrisons took part in a charity football match in aid of the Special Baby Care Unit at Dorset County Hospital.
The two teams were made up of players from both companies' Weymouth stores and it was Morrisons who came out on top, winning 7-4.
More than 50 people were at Weymouth Sports Club to support the two sides and it is hoped that the event raised in excess of £2,000.
Event organiser Andy Lowe, who works at ASDA, said: "It was brilliant. There was a big crowd watching and it was a good game played in a good spirit.
"Morrisons had youth on their side and ran out 7-4 winners. The majority of their team was aged between 21 and 25 whereas we had six people aged between 39 and 43 but like I said it was very entertaining.
"It looks like we are going to raise over £2,000 which would be fantastic and now we are hoping to make the match an annual event.
"I would like to thank everyone who helped us put the match on and have supported us in terms of sponsorships and donations."
