DORCHESTER Athletics Club brushed aside the competition to win the second match of the South West League.
The county town squad notched an impressive 1,169 points, 106 more than their nearest challengers, at the Yeovil meet.
The most notable performance came from Hannah Jeanes who finished first in the under-20 women's 400m in a time of 58.57secs to give her a qualifying time for the English Schools competition later in the year.
Others to impress were under-15 boy Alistair Tuck who broke the division record in the hammer with a throw of 35.83m, smashing the previous record by over five metres, and Ellie Burn who won three events and came second in two.
Tuck also placed first in the discus with a distance of 29.71m, grade three.
Kirsty Wickham was up to her usual form, taking first in under-13 girls' long jump with a new personal best of 4.31m, first in the shot putt with 7.37m and second in the 100m.
The 70m hurdles was a photo finish between Dorchester members Charlotte Fox Gibson and Beth Letherby in a personal best time for both girls of 13.4secs with Fox Gibson awarded first place.
Dorchester also triumphed in the under-13 girls' relay event.
Best performance in the under-13 boys was from Matt Fry with second in both the 75m hurdles and the 100m and third in the 800m.
The under-15 girls took second spot in their relay, with the best individual display by Hettie Burn, who placed second in the 75m hurdles, third in the long jump and sixth in the 100m.
Steven Rowe (under-15 boys) competed well to finish second in the long jump, fourth in the 100m and seventh in the discus.
Dorchester had a strong team in the under-17 women and under-20 women, with Ellen Norman (under-17) first in the 300m, and second in the triple jump and the 100m.
The under-17s then combined with the under-20s to win the medley relay (200m, 200m, 400m, 800m).
The under-20 line-up consisted of two athletes who between them covered most of the events. Jeanes placed first in the 400m and 800m, and third in the shot and javelin while Ellie Burn came first in the 100m hurdles, triple jump and javelin, and second in the 100m and shot.
Dominic Wright claimed second in the shot and third in the 100m for Dorchester's under-17 boys while Fred Cook, in his debut steeplechase, eased home in first spot.
The under-20 men saw Jake Criswick come first in the discus, second in the long jump and third in the 100m.
Meanwhile, in the men's section, Rich Tuck won the discus with Guy Smith in second, and Dean Exton placed second in the hammer.
The club's next meeting is the cup match on June 8 in Carn Brae, Cornwall.
