DORCHESTER Town midfielder Charlie Gunson has credited manager Glenn Howes and assistant James Wood with getting the best out of him as a player.
Gunson previously worked with the duo at Blackfield & Langley and joined Dorchester in November 2021 just a matter of weeks after Howes and Wood were appointed by the Magpies.
And the move appears to be paying off for all concerned.
Gunson has turned in a series of impressive displays this season, scoring three times and earning October’s player of the month award.

Speaking to Echosport about Howes and Wood, Gunson said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time with them when I was at Blackfield.
“Obviously we had a successful season when we won the Southern League (Division One).
“Glenn and James I’m very close with and they both know me well as a player on the pitch and off.
“As a manager and assistant they get the best out of me as a player, which in football is a really good thing to have.
“They made the decision really easy for me to come over to the club.”
