DEFENDER Danny Blanchett has cooled speculation linking him with a potential switch to Weymouth.

The youngster, who was released by Peterborough United at the end of the season, has received interest from the Terras this summer but is currently waiting to see if he can get fixed up with another Football League club before committing to a firm agreement.

Terras' chief executive Gary Calder said: "Danny is one of the players on our list but the lad wants to try and stay in the League. We have not ended our interest in him but we are looking at other players and if we manage to bring one in then so be it."

Meanwhile, boss John Hollins has held talks with youngsters Ollie Tribe, Ben Reiffer and Jamie Frampton. The trio all turned out for the club's under-16s last season and represented the county.

Hollins said: "The meetings were all about putting into their minds what we want to do with them. We want to teach them early on what it is like to be a pro and help them develop and whose to say they won't turn out to be quality players.

"Jamie Frampton has trained and travelled with the team before and during their summer break all three will be joining the big boys for pre-season which I am very much looking forward to.

"After that they will train with the first team when they are available and it should be very interesting to see how they progress."
