BOBBY Wilkinson stressed Weymouth’s flat 0-0 draw with Cheshunt was part of a “miracle job” being worked by his players and staff.
Weymouth have struggled with injuries, suspension and a sickness bug affecting ten players in the run up to Saturday’s bottom-of-the-table clash.
They have taken seven points from their last three matches but some fans voiced their frustration at what was a placid performance against limited opposition.
Neither side carved out a chance of note, befitting of two sides languishing at the foot of the Vanarama National League South table.

However, Wilkinson’s assessment of the situation was far more upbeat.
He told Echosport: “I can harp on about it, but when you really sit down and analyse what is going on, we are doing some miracle job.
“They’ve come for a point, what surprised me. They didn’t want to lose. For some reason, we just don’t perform well at home, do we?
“We’ve got to start turning our away form to home form. What you have to do in these situations is not lose it.
“It was two teams at the bottom. I knew it was going to be a dull game, that’s what happens.
“I’ve heard a lot of chat that we should be winning. That has to stop. We go one game at a time and we’ll see how we get on.
“Should we be beating these? Yes, we want to but they’ve gone away happier. They don’t realise that I’m really happy because I took seven out of nine (points).
“I make that very clear. They’ve (taken) one out of nine, haven’t they? When you do your maths, it’s unbelievable.
“This is a brilliant seven points. If people are disappointed because it’s cold and they haven’t seen an entertaining game, sorry I’ve got to pick up points.”
Asked how he intends to transform Weymouth’s home form, the worst in the division with five points from ten games, Wilkinson said: “When I first came in I’ve got to change everything, haven’t I?
“Everyone forgets that. Let’s not get greedy. I see this happening in football. When you’re up there you’re flying and getting results.
“I’ve told our boys don’t get greedy, great point, but now could we turn it around at home? That will be something else we need to do.
“If we don’t that’s going to be difficult. Everyone looked so tense at the club. Relax, enjoy it.
“We weren’t that loud and as a group you’ve got to come together. The fans have been brilliant all season, so we want to give them entertaining football.
“But they’ve got to bear with us. At the moment, it’s about getting points. Everyone knows that deep down.”
Before Tuesday's Dorset Senior Cup quarter-final with Hamworthy United (7.45pm), Weymouth will host a fans' forum at the Bob Lucas Stadium (6.15pm).
