DORCHESTER Town are relishing a return to home turf as Chesham United visit the Avenue Stadium tomorrow (3pm).
The match was originally billed for 12.30pm to avoid a clash with England’s last-16 World Cup match.
However, with the Three Lions now playing Senegal on Sunday (7pm), Dorchester have moved the kick-off back for what is a mouthwatering clash.
The Magpies are on their best run of form since 2006, going seven games unbeaten in all competitions.
However, they come up against a Chesham side eager to up the ante in the title race, the Generals sitting third behind leading duo Weston and Truro – beating the latter 3-0 on Saturday.

Speaking to Echosport, Dorchester first-team boss Brian Churchill said: “It’s nice to see for us how we get on, they’ve only lost two all season.
“But it will be nice to be back at home. We only played there once at the start of November.”
On Chesham’s win over Truro, he added: “We had a look at that. Truro had a man sent off after 25 minutes but it was a fantastic win for them and they’re going really well.”
There is a bigger question at play for the Magpies, though, as the play-offs are a genuine possibility given current form and league position.
Asked if December will give a clearer picture of whether Dorchester are up to the task, Churchill said: “Yes, definitely. “We said that with Met Police.
“This will show where we are as a team and getting any sort of result will keep us up there.
“December looks like a really tough month for us, we play three of the top four, but Glenn (Howes, boss) is really happy with what we have as a squad and group.
“To get anything out of this game we’ll have to be right on it.”
Shaq Gwengwe (ankle) will be monitored and could be given a larger slice of playing time against Sherborne Town in the Dorset Senior Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Mike Lilley has left on a three-month loan to Willand Rovers.
Elsewhere, Churchill’s under-23 side dismantled former leaders Hythe & Dibden 10-0 to leapfrog their opponents into top spot in the Hampshire Combination and Development League.
Ieuan Turner, Jamie Johnston and Ryan King all scored braces, while Jack Delves, Kriss Radivojsa, Marcus Smith and Remus Nixon also got on the scoresheet.
It was the second time Dorchester’s youngsters have scored ten this season, having thrashed Lymington Town 10-1 back in September.
Their next fixture comes against AFC Stoneham in the John Stimpson Memorial Shield on Wednesday (7.45pm).
