NEW Dorchester Town striker Harvey Bradbury will give the Magpies a "different dimension" up front, assistant boss James Wood insists.
Bradbury joined the Avenue Stadium club on Friday and made his debut in the 1-0 win over Salisbury, coming on in the 63rd minute for Alfie Stanley.
He nearly scored two minutes after his introduction, narrowly missing a low cross by inches with the goal gaping.
However, the former Watford, Oxford United, Oxford City and Gosport hitman generally impressed with his strong hold up play, linking up Dorchester's midfield and front line.
Wood told Echosport: “Harvey’s a very good player. He will be fantastic for us, I’ve no doubt about that.

“He gives us a different dimension. Alfie (Stanley) ran himself into the ground against two big centre-halves.
“It’s almost a case that he’s run them into the ground and Harvey comes on and reaps the benefits of it, which is nice.
“Once he gets up to speed match fitness wise, he’ll be quality for us.
“So, there’s some nice options there, which is good. If you want to improve and be in amongst the big-hitters in this league – we’re still a long way off – but having those options makes it a lot easier to do.”
Dorchester's win brought to a close a tough October, with losses to Hayes and high-flying Weston in the league plus Plymouth Parkway in the FA Trophy.
Glenn Howes' men have since bounced back with a point at Gosport and victories over Merthyr and Salisbury – all within a week.
Wood said: "Again, the way we are, we're looking at a few results we probably should've got more out of.
"We knew this was a difficult month with the fixtures and quality teams we're playing, teams with very good players and big budgets.
"We're happy with where we are but the most important thing is we don't rest on our laurels, we keep improving.
"We keep that desire there. As soon as we lose track of that, we come unstuck."
