THE Domino's Weymouth Sunday League held its annual presentation night at Weymouth & Portland Snooker Club where the Belvedere and the Duke of Albany picked up their respective league titles.
The Belve finished six points clear at the top of the Premiership, losing just two league games throughout the campaign, while the Duke captured the Championship crown on goal difference ahead of the Lugger Inn.
The Duke also showed off the Len Mahoney Cup at the event but Les Hallett Trophy winners the Cork & Bottle were unable to attend.
League chairman Mark Cottingham said: "It was a good season all-round. It was nice to see the Duke of Albany do so well in their first season and good luck to the Lugger who also won promotion.
"I think the best team won the Premiership in the end.
"The Belvedere had strength in depth throughout the campaign and deserved to retain their title.
"I am sorry to see the Black Dog fold after so many successful years and all the best to Alan Heseltine, who made a huge contribution to the league."
The League will hold its AGM tomorrow at the Weymouth Working Men's Club. The meeting will start at 12.30pm.
